Guided Walking Tour Admission: $4.75 for adults. $3.70 for Senior Citizens. Children under 12 free.
Shuttle Bus Fee: $16.00 per person.

The Walking Tour begins at the Frederick Visitor Center and takes 1.5 hours.

Spend the afternoon on a GUIDED WALKING TOUR OF FREDERICK. From our famous "clustered spires," to notable Federal-style architecture, this tour offers just the right mix of historical vision complemented by homespun local lore. The tour includes a stop at the nationally acclaimed COMMUNITY BRIDGE MURAL, where an artist has transformed a plain concrete bridge into a permanent illusion of an old stone and ivy covered bridge... a must see!

Guided walking tours of the Frederick Historic District depart from the Frederick Visitor Center, 19 East Church Street on Saturdays and Sundays and some Monday holidays. Tours of Frederick's historic district begin at 1:30 p.m. Conducted by certified guides, these tours are guaranteed to make Frederick' colorful past come alive for you.

Also available in Frederick is the Civil War Medical Museum; The Historical Society Museum; the Barbara Fritchie House; and one of the first houses in the area "Shifferstadt".

Agricultural Conservation Tour - Advisor Tour #2

Shuttle Bus Fee: $16.00 per person.

Visit a beef operation, fish hatchery, a water garden facility (world famous Lilypons), and an orchard operation. Learn about various farming concerns and solutions to water quality issues within this area of the Mid-Atlantic.

Travel by way of  passenger van(s) to key Civil War battlefields and locations. You will be  provided time to view exhibits and take in some of the battlefield experience. At Harpers Ferry you will be able to stroll the downtown streets and follow the steps of John Brown, Robert E. Lee, "Stonewall" Jackson as well as other historic figures after hearing local history from a Park Ranger on a walking tour. At Antietam we will have a professional tour guide lead us and our van to key stops within the battlefield. This is a unique opportunity to hear about the battle and battlefield from a NPS guide.

You will be provided a box lunch on the grounds of Antietam Battlefield itself, and be able to view the education center there. Travel departure times from each location will be strictly enforced.

Potomac River Canoe Trip - Advisor Tour #4

This tour is limited to the first 20 registrants. We will then assign "standby" status to others after this number has been reached.

Paddle down the historic Potomac River. Along the way your expert local guide will point out habitat and wildlife, as well as unique sections of both forested and non-forested segments. The river runs through urbanizing areas, and impacts by this landuse will be highlighted as well.

You will be transported to the visitor center of the Gettysburg Battlefield Park, and be provided time to learn about the battle movements from the "Electric Map". Then, a professional guide will board our van and escort the group on a 2-hour tour of the battlefield. Don't miss this unique opportunity to see the battlefield in the company of a NPS certified guide.
